Problem with ATI x800 Pro

Where would I see better performance, the clock speed or the bandwidth?

Turned out to be a heat problem with the ATI x800. It's certainly possible. WoW isn'ta very demanding game graphically, but it likes to grab memory and processor resources like crazy to speed up load times. AFACS ATI is overtaken NVidia for open source native support since a few months and their fast drivers are open sourced. The drivers released by ATI are not Open Source, and I've wasted hours trying to get Mach64 drivers to work on my laptop. I now know what could by the manufacturer name of my next video card.
